Tony Fonk

President and Chief Executive Officer

As President and CEO since May 2015, Tony directs the management team of ShockWatch. Tony brings over 17 years of international experience in developing and executing innovative product, service and channel strategies. Most recently, he ran a $100M business for Stock Building Supply Holdings, Inc. (STCK), a $1.3 billion North American supplier of construction materials and services, as the company transitioned from a private equity ownership structure to being publicly traded on NASDAQ. Prior to Stock Building Supply, Tony worked for Ingersoll Rand (IR) running and re-aligning their residential Trane and American Standard air conditioner portfolio. In addition, Tony has held several international business management and marketing leadership roles for Johns Manville, a Berkshire Hathaway Company (BRK).

Tony has attended executive education programs at Harvard Business School and holds a B.S. degree in advertising from the University of Kansas. He is a certified Lean Six Sigma BlackBelt.

Robert Hutson

Vice President, Chief Financial Officer

Robert served as Interim CFO for several months prior to joining the ShockWatch team full time in August 2015. He has responsibility for all Finance and IT functions. Robert has over 20 years of finance experience including 10 years as the Executive Vice President and CFO of the Dallas Stars NHL franchise.  He most recently comes to ShockWatch from Six Pillars Partners where he served as fractional CFO for multiple Six Pillars Partners-related companies. As a financial consultant, he has advised and conducted due diligence for over 10 acquisitions and served as a consultant to the management of the Texas Rangers Baseball Club.

Robert received a Bachelors of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Accounting from Harding University.

Tyson Stuelpe

Vice President, Global Marketing and North American Sales

Tyson Stuelpe joined the ShockWatch team in September 2015 as the Vice President of Global Marketing and North American Sales.  In his prior role, Tyson orchestrated the successful turnaround of a $575M business within Ingersoll Rand’s Residential HVAC portfolio.  He has held management and marketing positions of increasing responsibility with Newell Rubbermaid, Nestlé, and Black & Decker.  Tyson brings significant experience in global product & channel management, acquisition integration, and supply chain management.  He began his career as a strategic and operations consultant with Booz-Allen & Hamilton and Ernst & Young.

Tyson received a B.A. from Middlebury College and an M.B.A. from the University of Texas.

Paula Simoes

Vice President IoT Portfolio & Technology

Paula joined the Shockwatch team in April 2016, with responsibility over Impact Products and IoT Strategy. Paula brings 18 Years of international experience in the ICT world, 6 of which in the new Internet of Things (IoT) space. Paula’s started her career in Telecom Engineering  were she had growing responsibility over operations and engineering teams, in Vodafone and Orange Portugal, moving into the strategy and business when she started an IoT business unit 6 years ago.  Before joining Shockwatch, Paula was VP of Product and Partnerships in a Dallas based IT Company developing IoT software platforms.

Paula has attended several executive and leadership programs, she holds a MS in Telecom Engineering from IST and a MBA from INDEG, both in Europe.

Angela Kerr

Vice President, General Manager of Cold Chain and Program Management

Angela was appointed Vice President, General Manager of Cold Chain and Program Management in September 2015. In this role, she will focus on building our existing cold chain business and developing the next generation of cloud-based temperature products that help our customers cost effectively track their products around the globe. Angela previously served as Vice President of Marketing and Product Management. Prior to that, she was the director of product management, responsible for developing roadmap strategies and coordinating with engineering and manufacturing teams to launch new products. Angela also spent three years as our product manager and one year as our marketing manager.

Angela has a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Texas Tech University.

Jim Edwards

Vice President, Operations

Jim joined the ShockWatch team in June 2012 as Vice President of Operations. He is responsible for manufacturing, production, warehouse management, shipping, receiving, quality assurance, and procurement. His specialties include: risk management, lean manufacturing, quality management, cost management and negotiation, cross functional team leadership, people management, team building and continuous improvement. Before joining ShockWatch, Jim spent four years at South Carolina Yutaka Technologies as Assistant Vice President of Operations. Prior to that, he held various manufacturing positions with leadership responsibility in the automotive industry.

Jim received a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership and supervision with a minor in computer technology from Purdue University.

Peter Van Buren

Managing Director - ShockWatch Europe BV & General Manager for EMEA, CIS, and India

Peter joined ShockWatch in November 2012 as the first international team member. He brought in a unique skill set of experience in monitoring, measuring, and registering variables of perishable and fragile goods, and in the processes behind this. Prior to joining ShockWatch Peter has had a long history by selling his first ShockWatch product in 1991 already and growing the business ever since. He is responsible for increasing sales and support to current and future customers in the EMEA, CIS and India regions.

Peter studied Law & Business Administration at the University of Groningen in The Netherlands.

Mel Chen

General Manager - Asia Pacific

Mel joined the ShockWatch team in Feb 2016 as General Manager- APAC. He has responsibility for sales and business developing in Asia and Pacific. Mel has 18 years of sales experience including 10 years as sales leader in different US companies. Before joining Shockwatch, Mel spent 5 years at Newell Rubbermaid as National Sales Manager of China & HK. Prior to that, he worked in Black&Decker as China Sales manager to run US$ 15 Million business for another 5 years. Before that, Mel was the Key Account Manager in Fortune Brands for 6 years and start his career as Regional Sales Rep in Panasonic.

Mel received a bachelor’s degree in Heating Ventilation and Air condition from TongJi University

Miguel Gama

General Manager - Latin America

Miguel is an international MBA executive proficient in market growth and initial market penetration, business development and consultative sales of international organizations. Miguel is an expert in multinational business in a global environment working with companies in the Americas, Europe, Asia, with strong emphases on profitable achievements of corporate goals and a clean operational execution.

At ShockWatch Miguel will develop a network of trustable distributors in selected sectors of the economy in the Latin America region.

Miguel attended a master degree program at the IPADE Business School in Mexico and his alma mater is the National Polytechnic Institute where he graduated as electronics and telecommunications engineer.
